How do I know which package is right for my book?
It depends on where you are in the writing process. If your manuscript is structurally solid and you primarily need language-level polishing, the Seedling package is an excellent fit. If you want both structural feedback and a complete production package including cover design and formatting, Flourish offers outstanding value. For authors seeking end-to-end support from developmental editing through to publishing guidance and coaching, Summit covers every base. What if my manuscript exceeds the word-count limit?
No problem at all. Manuscripts that exceed the word-count ceiling for a given package are subject to a small per-word surcharge: £0.008 per additional word for editing services and £0.004 per word for proofreading. We will provide an exact quote before any work begins so there are no surprises.
Can I combine individual services instead of choosing a package?
Absolutely. Many authors prefer to select only the services they need. Our à la carte rates are listed above, and we offer a ten per cent discount when you bundle three or more individual services together. Simply let us know what you require and we will prepare a tailored proposal.
What is your typical turnaround time?
Turnaround depends on the package and the length of your manuscript. Seedling projects are typically completed within three weeks, Flourish within five weeks and Summit within eight weeks. Rush services are available for an additional twenty per cent surcharge — please enquire for availability.
Do you work with non-fiction and academic books?
Yes. Our editorial team includes specialists in business, self-help, memoir, history, science communication and academic publishing. For academic texts with extensive citations, footnotes or specialised terminology, we may adjust pricing to reflect the additional complexity — we will always provide a clear quote upfront.
